The core principle of public transit is to make travel easy and accessible for everyone.
Jaunt’s Mobility Management initiative is a whole-community-focused program enabling everyone to have the same access to jobs, social events, and services. We develop routes, services, and technology innovations explicitly to aid and assist the needs of commuters, students, seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income individuals.
Jaunt’s Mobility Management service area includes the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Louisa, Fluvanna, Nelson, and Greene.
Jaunt doesn’t just facilitate travel; our team takes steps towards public transit education and outreach and assists in referrals to regional resources. Jaunt collaborates with nonprofits, human service agencies, and supplemental transportation providers. In addition, we provide travel training for individuals or groups and work with community leaders to discover unmet needs and find creative and affordable solutions.
